Gloria is Kenneth Macmillan's haunting tribute to the fallen of World War I and set to Poulenc's choral music in G major. Created for the Royal Ballet in 1980 as one of the company's key works, Macmillan's heartfelt depiction of the brutality of war is still as relevant today as when it was first created.
